Dr. Beth Cutrer

Elizabeth Cutrer-Párraga is passionate about teachers, children, schools and families. Prior to commencing her doctoral studies, she enjoyed a vibrant career as an educator, working as a special educator, elementary general education teacher, literacy specialist, English Language instructor, instructional coach and Student Support Team chair. Upon completion of her doctoral studies at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Cutrer-Párraga worked as the Intervention Director for the Targeted Reading Intervention (TRI) at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG). Currently Dr. Cutrer-Párraga is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Psychology and Special Education (CPSE) department at Brigham Young University where she researches multicultural education issues in special education, coach-teacher relationships, school-based literacy interventions and the social/emotional well-being of children who struggle in reading and writing.
