Using her background in Criminal Justice, Social Work and Education over a 26 year career, Jamie weaves education, experience and best practice in the development and implementation of strategic planning. Her studies of Criminal Justice, Social Work and Education enable her to bring insight and experience in the development process.
Jamie graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, along with a License in Special Education. She is a licensed SSW in Social Work, with emphasis in at-risk children and youth. She graduates with a dual Masters from Weber State University in Educational Leadership and Administration, along with Curriculum and Instruction in 2023.

She began her career working in Salt Lake School District focusing on Inner City at-risk youth who had experienced significant trauma as refugees and English Language Learners.
In 2001 her focus shifted to social work, specializing in children and youth counseling, adolescence substance abuse and trauma, where she earned multiple awards including: Utah State Mental Health Innovative Program Award, Valley Mental Health Innovative Program Award, along with the Mental Health Quality Care Award.

In 2015 Jamie returned to education with emphasis in Special Education, Social Emotional Learning and Educational Leadership. She currently works at Wayne School District as their Special Programs Director. Jamie has a passion for education, emotional health and wellness, along with developing strategic plans to predict and sustain student outcomes while ensuring student success.
